We offer three types of restaurant models:
- QSR (1,000 – 2,500 sq. feet)
- Drive Thru (1,500-5,000 sq. feet)
- Chicken & Beer (2,500- 5,000 sq. feet)
What are the financial requirements needed to franchise with bb.q Chicken?
You must have a minimum of $250,000 in liquid assets, and a minimum net worth of $700,000.
What are the initial and ongoing fees?
The initial franchise fee for a bb.q Chicken restaurant is $45,000.
Franchisees are also responsible for a $7,000 On-Site training fee, which supports on-site opening assistance and comprehensive operational training provided by our corporate team.
On-Site Opening Training Fee: While there is no fee for the actual training, you must pay us for our trainers’ lodging, travel and meals expenses. To cover these expenses, you will be required to pay us an on-site opening training fee equal to $7,000.
Ongoing fees include a 5% royalty on gross sales and a 2% brand development fee, which supports continued brand growth and marketing initiatives.
For multi-unit operators, bb.q Chicken offers structured development incentives and discounted fee packages based on the number of locations committed. These programs are designed to support experienced operators scaling within a defined market.
What is the total investment required to open a restaurant? Does it vary by store model?
The total investment required to open a restaurant does vary by model and condition of the location. QSR/Drive-Thru models will range from $347,000 – $1,060,000, while the Chicken & Beer model range from $668,000 – $1,446,000.
What type of training and support will bb.q Chicken offer?
We offer two rounds of training. The first will be held over four to five days at our U.S. headquarters in New Jersey, and the second session will be a comprehensive two-week training at your restaurant.
How long does it typically take to open a new restaurant?
The timeline to open a new restaurant varies by your experience with bb.q Chicken and the condition of your location. Most new franchisees take at least six months to open their first restaurant, but secondary locations are usually up and running within three to six months.
