What types of restaurant models do you offer?

We offer three types of restaurant models:

  • Essential (1,000 – 1,500 sq. feet)
  • Cafe (1,500-5,000 sq. feet)
  • Chicken & Beer (2,500- 5,000 sq. feet)
What are the financial requirements needed to franchise with bb.q Chicken?

You must have a minimum of $250,000 in liquid assets, and a minimum net worth of $700,000.

What is the franchising fee?

We charge a franchising fee of $40,000 per restaurant. A franchisee that signs a multiunit deal will need to open at least three locations in two years. The fee is the same, but they are given first right of refusal within their market for the two years. Our recurring royalty fees are 5% of gross sales, and our brand development fee is 2% of gross sales.

What is the total investment required to open a restaurant? Does it vary by store model?

The total investment required to open a restaurant does vary by model and condition of the location. An Essential model will range from $260,000 to $498,000, while the Cafe or Chicken & Beer models range from $380,000 to $793,000.

What type of training and support will bb.q Chicken offer?

We offer two rounds of training. The first will be held over four to five days at our U.S. headquarters in New Jersey, and the second session will be a comprehensive two-week training at your restaurant.

There will be a mandatory $5,000 training fee.

How long does it typically take to open a new restaurant?

The timeline to open a new restaurant varies by your experience with bb.q Chicken and the condition of your location. Most new franchisees take at least six months to open their first restaurant, but secondary locations are usually up and running within three to six months.
